We have seen quite a few concept cars come out in recent months related to Gran Turismo 6, the popular video game that is considered by many to be more of an actual race simulator than a game. Indeed, real cars compete on real track with such realism that you almost have to be a real race car driver to get the most out of each model.
That said, few concepts are as impressive as the Mazda LM55 Vision GT, a stunning vehicle that will be available to drivers in Gran Turismo 6. The concept, based on the famed Mazda 787B that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1991, is simply gorgeous. It is also so realistic that we simply want to go out and drive one in real life.
Overall, the Mazda LM55 Vision GT is low, wide, and long. In a way, it looks like a futuristic Le Mans racer, and of course Mazda’s KODO design language inspired the car’s style.
Under the hood, Mazda did not provide many details as to what engine we can expect, but we do know that the transmission promises to be state-of-the-art, offering power, efficiency and durability. We expect SkyActiv technology to be in there somewhere.
Those who wish to drive the LM55 Vision GT can do so starting December 25th when Gran Turismo 6 goes on sale.
